    IMMERSION

    Elements of the Periodic Table are all around us, e.g. gold, birthstone, pots, and cutlery. By integrating ALL 118 elements into a variety of fun and interactive activities, students learn more than the elements. Students will be able to discuss varying Periodic Table elements, and its everyday use.

    GOALS

    Increase students interest and knowledge in STEM concepts by demonstrating the real-world relevance of the Science and the Periodic Elements. Utilize popular culture "Black Panther" and interactive activities to make learning about the Periodic Table exciting and accessible. Highlight diverse concepts in STEM, showing students that science is for everyone.

    Within the first workshop, over 90% of our students were able to list 15 Periodic Elements, and provide examples of how the elements are used in the real world. Best of ALL, it peaked their curiosity towards Science.
